Yes. If you bought your device on Upgrade+ and don’t want to upgrade or keep it, you can trade it in and end your plan. If your device is:

  1. In Good Working Order – you do not pay any of the Keep-the-Device amount
  2. Damaged – you still need to pay 50% of the Keep-the-Device amount
  3. Recycle Only – you still need to pay 100% of the Keep-the-Device amount.

Good Working Order: This means that it meets the following conditions:

  1. It must be Fully Functional – this means:
    1. Phone powers on and touchscreen works
    2. No missing parts (e.g. power & volume buttons, SIM tray, camera)
    3. Speakers and Microphones work
    4. Battery is not swollen and holds a charge (doesn’t require the phone to be attached to a charger to operate)
  2. The LCD/Glass must be in good condition and undamaged – this means:
    1. There are no cracks, chips, or otherwise broken glass on front or back, including camera lens
    2. There are no dead pixels and/or LCD bleed
    3. Light to moderate scratches are not considered damaged
    4. “Find my iPhone” or equivalent feature must be disabled.

Damaged: This means that it meets the following conditions:

  1. It must be Fully Functional – this means:
    1. Phone powers on and touchscreen works
    2. No missing parts (e.g. power & volume buttons, SIM tray, camera)
    3. Speakers and Microphones work
    4. Battery is not swollen and holds a charge (doesn’t require the phone to be attached to a charger to operate)
  2. The LCD/Glass is damaged:
    1. There may be cracks or chips on front or back, or camera lens
    2. There may be dead pixels and/or LCD bleed
    3. “Find my iPhone” or equivalent feature must be disabled

Recycle Only: This means that it is in the following condition:

  1. Non-functional; and/or
  2. LCD is not working or showing serious damage; and/or
  3. Contains non-functional ports; and/or
  4. Battery is swollen or fails to hold an adequate charge; and/or
  5. Has non-genuine parts (including but not limited to screen); and/or
  6. Evidence of liquid damage; and/or
  7. Has “Find my iPhone” or equivalent feature enabled; and/or
  8. Registered as “Lost or Stolen” by any registered or industry recognized agency or government body.
