Our Commitment to Online Safety

At Officeworks, we are committed to helping Australians stay safe online.

Reporting Online Safety Concerns

If you have experienced cyber bullying, cyber abuse, image-based abuse or seen non-consensual images or material that promotes, incites, instructs or depicts illegal, offensive or abhorrent behaviour, please report it to the eSafety Commissioner: www.esafety.gov.au/report

Role of the eSafety Commissioner

The eSafety Commissioner is the Australian Government’s independent online safety regulator whose purpose is to help safeguard Australians at risk of online harm and to promote safer, more positive online experiences.

Staying Safe Online

Online Safety Tips for Parents, Carers, and Users

Here are a few ways to support safer use of internet-enabled devices:

  • Set up parental controls: Most devices allow you to restrict content or manage screen time for children.
  • Supervise and communicate: Open communication with children and teenagers is vital. Talk about their online experiences and help them manage risks.
  • Use secure passwords: Enable strong passwords and use two-factor authentication where available to protect personal accounts.
  • Update software regularly: Keep your device’s software updated to address potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Know the reporting tools: Be aware of how to report and block harmful content or inappropriate interactions online.
  • We encourage you to visit the eSafety Commissioner’s website for more detailed safety advice: www.esafety.gov.au

Reporting security issues with smart devices

At Officeworks, we take the security of the smart devices and connected products we sell seriously. If you believe you have found a security issue or vulnerability in a smart device, companion app or related online service supplied by Officeworks, please let us know so we can investigate. To report a potential security issue, contact us via our online Contact Us form and include “Security issue with smart device” in the subject line. Please provide the product name, model number, where and when it was purchased, a description of the issue and (if possible) steps to reproduce it. We will acknowledge your report and work with our suppliers and technical teams to assess the issue and take appropriate action, and we may contact you if we need more information.
