Delivery

Q. When will my order be delivered?
-
Your order will be delivered on your preferred delivery date, selected at the time of accepting your quote on the portal.
If your first preferred date is unavailable, we will arrange delivery on your second preferred date. If neither dates are available, we will contact you to discuss a solution.
Prior to your delivery being dispatched we will contact you to confirm the delivery is on track for the delivery window.

Q. Does Officeworks offer classroom delivery?
-
Our direct to classroom delivery service is available to eligible schools in metro areas.
For regional schools we offer a delivery to a single preferred point.
For country schools we will work on a case-by-case basis on how best to deliver. In some cases we can deliver to the local store and the store will arrange delivery of the final leg. For more remote schools, we will deliver to a central depot and the customer will need to arrange their own freight company for the final leg.
For any questions regarding your school's zoning for delivery please speak with your Education Business Specialist.

Q. Delivery times

The earliest we can deliver is mid November 2024 if we receive a minimum of 6 weeks lead time from placing your order.
Orders placed by 11th October can be delivered in December and January.
Orders placed after 11th October and before 29th November will be delivered in January.

Q. How will it be delivered to the classroom?
-
Our drivers will help safely unload the order by year and classroom (metro only). To assist with this, we will request specific delivery instructions and a school map when we confirm the delivery date and time with the school. Other details such as entry points, security gates, height limits for trucks and other important points to be included. Please also include the details of the School Staff member on site for delivery with contact details.

Q. Will the driver arrive with adequate trollies and equipment for delivery?
-
Drivers will come equipped with all the necessary equipment to safely deliver and unload the order.

Q. How is the order packed?
-
The order is packed in recyclable cardboard boxes, and labelled by year and class level, e.g. Year 1, Class A.

Q. Will the driver take away any packaging?
-
We ask that schools responsibly recycle, reuse, or repurpose packaging. Any plastic wrap that can’t be disposed of onsite will be taken by the driver. Pallets will also be returned by the driver unless specifically requested by the school to retain for school purposes, such as vertical garden walls.

Q. How many drivers will come with delivery?

Adequate delivery logistics will be allocated, dependant on the size of the order and location of the school.

Q. Does the Classroom Essentials Service offer have a contract period?

At Officeworks we have no lock in contracts (we’re confident in our offer).

Q. What is the Classroom Essentials Service bulk offer?

This option allows schools to order all their classroom essentials in bulk for each class or year level. Items are delivered to the school, safely unloaded and distributed direct to each classroom (direct to classroom in metro areas only).

Q. What is the closing date for placing orders?

11th October: Cut-off to be eligible for the Classroom Ready Guarantee (first 100 orders placed)
29th November: Final cut-off for schools to commit to their order.

Q. What are the terms and conditions of the offer?

Classroom Essentials Service is available to primary schools.
Be one of the first 100 schools to order before 11th October 2024 to be eligible for the Classroom-Ready Guarantee. All items not delivered before school starts in Term 1 for your state in 2025 are free. Please refer to terms and conditions.

Q. I want to edit or cancel my order

You can edit your order through the Classroom Essentials Service school portal until the final cut-off date of 29th November 2024. You can cancel your order at any time or make changes once submitted by contacting your Education Business Specialist.

Q. Can I still obtain Back to School pricing throughout the year if I need top up supplies?
-
Yes, we can supply top up supplies throughout the year however Back to School pricing is only applicable during the Back to School period. Please speak to your Education Business Specialist to assist with your top up needs.

Q. Does Officeworks pack the bulk CES orders into individual boxes for Students?
-
Our aim is to keep prices low and offer value to families by delivering classroom essential supplies in bulk as opposed to individual boxes.

Payment

Q. When will I be invoiced for my order?
-
You will receive a consolidated invoice near the end of February 2025 once the bulk of your order and any back orders are delivered. All Classroom Essentials Service accounts have 30 days to pay from date of invoice.

Q. What is the Individual Booklist Parent Pay Option?
-
An option for primary schools that makes it easy for you to order your child's school list items online as determined by the school.
This option is aimed to reduce the administrative tasks in schools whilst providing great value and ease for families.
The school curates a booklist of preferred items that you can purchase for the school year. You can find your child’s booklist by year level and order it online, enjoying our consistent and transparent pricing, helping save costs on essential classroom supplies. Orders can be collected from a local Officeworks store or delivered directly to the home.
You can also make Voluntary Contribution payments, as recommended by the school, as part of the booklist order. These are optional and can be removed.
Your school receives a 10% credit for every recommended booklist item purchased online via the School List Service platform.

Q. What is in the Individual Booklist parent pay booklist?

Booklists are defined by the school. Some items may be retained from the previous year, e.g., a calculator or iPad, and can be removed.

Q. When can I place my order?
-
The School List Service opens from early November. Your school will advise when your booklists will be live on the platform.

Q. Is there a cut-off date for ordering?
-
We recommend you place your Back to School order by January 6th to ensure you have everything you need in time for Term 1.
Please note, the school will only receive 10% credit on booklist items purchased via the School List Service platform by the date of January 31st.

Q. Can I still place my order after January 6th?
-
You can order your Back to School supplies via the School List Service up until 31st January 2025. Any orders placed after January 6th may not arrive in time for Term 1 and is dependent on your location.
For your convenience, you will always be presented with a delivery ETA at time of checkout.

Q. Will my order be eligible to receive the Price Beat Guarantee or Parents’ Price Promise?

The Price Beat Guarantee and Parents’ Price Promise does not apply to parents and guardians who have been supplied with an Officeworks booklist, as they have been provided with Officeworks’s competitive prices.
In addition, the school will receive 10% credit on booklist items purchased via the online booklist platform by the cut-off date.

Q. How do I find my booklist?

Visit the Officeworks’ School List Service platform (www.officeworks.com.au/app/school-list-upload/) and search for your State, School, and Year Level. Your booklist items will appear for you to review, edit, and add to cart.

Q. Can I add other items to my booklist?
-
You can shop for additional products on the Officeworks website, or by visiting in-store.
Additional products (outside the booklist, as defined by the school), can be purchased and added to the booklist order. The additional items (items not part of the booklist) will be fulfilled separately.

Q. Can I edit or cancel my order?
-
You can edit your order by adjusting quantities and can remove recommended items from your booklist before adding them to the cart.
After payment is processed, you will need to refer to our returns policy for more information.

Q. What happens if a booklist item is out of stock?
-
If an item is not in stock when ordering, a substitute product will be suggested.
If an item becomes unavailable after ordering, it will be cancelled, and an email notification and refund will be immediately issued.

Q. The substitute product isn’t what I want, how can I change it?
-
If the proposed substitute item doesn’t meet your requirements, you can delete it from your quote. After finalising the rest of your quote and adding it to your cart, you can then shop for a suitable substitute on the Officeworks website by adding it to cart in the same transaction.
Additional products (outside of the recommended booklist), can be purchased and added to the booklist order. The additional items (items not part of the recommendation booklist will be fulfilled separately.

Q. Can I add multiple students to the same order?

Yes, if you are shopping for multiple students, you can add additional school lists to the same cart.
You will be given the option to add additional booklists after you have reviewed the booklist for your first student.

Q. How will multiple siblings’ booklists in one order be packed?
-
All siblings’ order will be consolidated and packaged together to reduce the environmental impact.
If separate packing is required, each booklist must be ordered separately in a separate transaction.

Q. What type of device can I use to access the booklist online?

You can access the School List Service platform on any device (tablet, iPad, desktop or mobile device).

Q. What does it mean if an item is marked as Essential?
-
Booklist items are grouped under “Essential” and “Optional”; Essential items are a minimum requirement for the start of the school year, and Optional items can be removed if you have QTYs from previous years.

Q. Why do some items now say they’re out of stock?
-
The system will check the stock levels depending on your location, and whether you’ve selected Delivery or Click & Collect.
Please ensure you’ve set your location when reviewing your booklist.

Q. What if I’m not at home when my order is delivered?
-
When the 'Authority to leave' option is selected at the Check Out, your order will be left on their doorstep if no one is available to sign for the order.
Please note, in this case, Officeworks cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged orders after they have been delivered.
When the 'Authority to leave' option is not selected at the checkout, and no one is available to sign for the order, a card will be left with a contact number to arrange an alternative delivery day.

Q. When can I expect to receive my order?

You will receive a confirmation email that will allow you to follow the process of their order, and an ETA. Please note that orders placed on the School List Service platform and processed as a Click & Collect are exempt from 2-hour C&C, as they aren’t fulfilled by the store.
You will receive a notification when your order has been dispatched for home delivery or when it's in the store ready to be collected.
We encourage all customers to collect their booklist orders within 48 hours of their Click & Collect notification.

Q. When and how will the voluntary contributions be sent to the school?

Officeworks will collate all voluntary contributions paid by parents and guardians, which will then be paid into the school’s nominated account and a report will be sent to the school with a breakdown of the payments collected.
Voluntary contributions will be transferred to the school’s nominated account by Term 2.

(Please refer to your State/Territory government website for official 2025 Term 1 start dates). Any items not delivered in time will be free of charge. Classroom Ready Guarantee excludes re-issues (due to change of mind or top-up orders). In NT, WA and FNQ where Officeworks cannot deliver directly to school, we guarantee to deliver to the school’s nominated delivery address. The Classroom Ready Guarantee may be impacted in the event of circumstances beyond Officeworks’ control.
†School does not receive credit for orders purchased in-store or online via standard OW website or for non-booklist items. School may choose to opt out of the incentive program.
Officeworks reserve the right to amend this offer based on impacts beyond our reasonable control.
