Officeworks is focused on our team members’ wellbeing, sense of belonging and providing inclusive experiences that allow them to bring their whole selves to work every day.
In order to build an inclusive workplace, Officeworks has developed a Diversity & Belonging strategy that focusses on four key areas: thought, identity, accessibility and First Nations. Each area is supported by a 12-month plan to deliver genuine and sustainable change.
Indigenous employment
We value and respect the protocols, heritage and culture of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and aim to work together to continue to educate, sustain and build on these standards.
Officeworks is committed to increasing opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through employment. We have developed an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Plan that outlines our passion and commitment to creating more opportunities for Indigenous people to join our business and grow their careers.
Flexible culture
We recognise the importance of providing an inclusive environment for all our team members and encourage our team members to work in the way that best supports them to achieve business outcomes as well as considering their personal life.
We offer a range of options in hours and rosters for our store and CFC teams, and within our support office teams we recognise that preferences and expectations are changing. People would like some choice on where and how they deliver their work and Officeworks are strong advocates for this. Our focus is, more importance on the work outcomes with greater flexibility on the workplace, offering engaging work and career opportunities, and a meaningful and a safe team member experience.

We believe in supporting our team members at work and at home through any stage of their career and life journey, that’s why we’ve implemented a number of policies and programs.

For a secondary carer, it includes two weeks of paid leave, including superannuation The policy also recognises that growing a family can happen in many ways, so it also includes support for its team members going through IVF, adoption and surrogacy. At a national level we partner with The Smith Family and raise funds for its Learning for Life student sponsorship program through our Back to School Appeal that runs from December to February each year.
