Delivery Policy

Officeworks offers a range of delivery options to make it easy for you to shop with us.

All of these options are aimed at getting products to you as quickly as possible wherever you are in Australia.

We deliver according to the delivery zone in which the orders are delivered to. Simply use our delivery estimator in the shopping cart to get an up-to-date estimation on delivery timeframes and costs specifically for your order. Alternately, you can call us any time to find out where your delivery zone is. Simply contact the Customer Service Centre on 1300-OFFICE (633 423), Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm, Saturday - Sunday 9am - 5pm (AEST).

The processing of orders and all deliveries are made Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. We currently do not have a weekend delivery service.

Officeworks does not deliver to Australian Islands off the mainland. Officeworks will deliver to addresses within the mainland but all on-forwarding costs incurred for shipments of goods to an Australian Island will be at the customer's discretion.

During the "wet season" deliveries into Northern Territory and Northern Queensland may be affected by adverse weather conditions. In this event, deliveries may take longer than our usual timeframes.

Free Delivery

Delivery is free for orders of $55 or more (excluding items classified as Big and Bulky) to metropolitan areas in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Perth & Sydney. If you are in those delivery areas and your order is less than $55, you will be charged a small delivery fee of $5.95.

For deliveries to areas outside the main metropolitan centres you will be charged $25.95 (including GST) for an order of any value (excluding items classified as Big and Bulky).

Orders weighing over 200kg

Orders weighing over 200kg may be subject to an additional delivery fee, as they are outside our standard delivery criteria. An Officeworks representative from the Customer Service Centre will contact you and confirm the additional delivery fee. If you have any queries about this please call 1300-OFFICE (633 423), Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm (AEST).

Same Day Delivery

Orders placed before 11.30am Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) for items that are in-stock are eligible for same day delivery. When the same day delivery option is selected the order will be delivered on the same day in metropolitan Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Perth & Sydney. This excludes big and bulky items, which will be delivered the next-day. Same Day Delivery option is not available for Adelaide, Canberra or Darwin.

Orders placed after 11.30am will be delivered next business day for metropolitan Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Perth & Sydney areas. All other delivery zones will be delivered within 1 to 5 business days dependant on your delivery zone.

Same Day Delivery does not apply to Online Print Services - see below for more details.

Please note:

  • Deliveries to your address will occur between 8:00am - 5pm Monday to Friday (Gold Coast deliveries occur between 8am and 6pm).
  • Please note that suburbs and delivery zones are subject to reclassification from time to time.
  • A street address is required for delivery. PO Boxes cannot be used as a delivery address.
  • Orders placed after 11:30pm ESDT, will dispatch the next business day, excluding Online Print Services orders.
  • Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, Ulverston Penguin, Burnie and surrounding suburbs in Tasmania will have next day delivery

Larger Item Delivery

Large items require extra handling and take longer to transport to all parts of Australia. Because of this, additional delivery fees apply to all products classified as large. Deliveries for large items that occur in areas that qualify for same day delivery will be delivered next-day.

Special Order Item Delivery

Special Order items are delivered separate to stationery orders and at times are delivered straight from our supplier.

The delivery timeframe is approximate depending on supplier availability. Customised Special Order Furniture items and Custom Print items cannot be returned or refunded due to change of mind as these products are manufactured and produced on Customer request. These products can only be returned if faulty/damaged.

When placing an order, check whether or not the item you are ordering is marked as 'Special Order Item'.

In Store Pickup

Delivery is FREE for In Store Pickups*.

When placing an In Store Pickup order online nominate the store you would like to pick your order up from and complete the checkout process.

A team member from your nominated store will contact you via phone when your order is ready to be picked up. For Online Print Services you will receive an email notification advising that your order is ready for collection. When collecting your order from the store, please bring your Tax Invoice, Order Confirmation or a Valid ID for confirmation of purchase.

Print & Copy Services

Delivery timeframes for Print & Copy products are based on individual product order quantities and requirements. Standard delivery surcharges apply according to the delivery policy outlined above for the website.

Print & Copy In-store

Print & Copy products ordered from our retail stores are typically produced within shorter timeframes as the products are printed at the store of purchase. Online orders placed with the delivery method as in-store pick-up are produced in-store. For all orders that have large volume print requirements additional processing time is required, please see the notes below about large volume orders.

Print & Copy Online Orders

Print & Copy products ordered online from our website are printed and delivered within the timeframes outlined in the table below. Timeframes for your location vary between individual product types and the print volumes of your order. We attempt to optimise deliveries by combining as many individual products in the same delivery, however we may ship some parts of your order over multiple deliveries.

Large Volume Orders

Large volume orders are those that have individual print quantities that extend our standard delivery timeframes. These orders require additional time to prepare, print and process and may result in multiple deliveries for orders with more than one print product in the same order. For all orders where an individual product quantity exceeds the quantities outlined in the table below a print specialist will call to discuss your individual print requirements and delivery timeframes.

The table below outlines print quantities for large volume orders.

  • Business days exclude weekends and public holidays but pickup is available on these days if a team member from your nominated store has confirmed that your order is ready for pickup.
  • Metro areas defined as Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Perth & Sydney areas.
  • Please allow an extra day for items classified as Big and Bulky.
  • Delivery timeframes may change from time to time due to unforseen ircumstances, we will endeavour to provide the most up-to-date information for your order or contact you if circumstances change.
