Officeworks believes in giving something back to the communities where we make our living.

Organisations that enhance the communities in which we live and operate are key to Taking Care. So we take pride in supporting our local:

• Schools
• Sporting bodies
• Clubs
• Scouts
• Guides
• Aged care centres, and
• Other not-for-profit community ventures

Guidelines

Officeworks aims to partner with organisations and events that are a strong, natural match to at least one of the following areas we have identified as priorities:

• Education - activities which support educational opportunities and activities;
• Community - activities that enhance local communities in which we operate;
• Health & Wellbeing - activities which support health and wellbeing initiatives, particularly those involving youth;
• Environmental Sustainability - activities that demonstrate a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Officeworks specifically seeks to support not-for-profit groups and registered charities that provide a direct benefit to the growth and well being of communities in which we operate. We also seek to benefit as many people as possible; therefore sponsorship and donation preference will be given to causes supporting groups rather than individuals.

We will consider proposals in all categories, except the following:

• Political activities;
• Alcohol/Drug/Gambling related activities;
• Companies/Groups operating for profit;
• Overseas activities/beneficiaries; or
• Travel/study expenses

Types of Sponsorships and Donations:

Officeworks prefers to offer sponsorship and donations through the following channels:

• Products
• Gift Cards
• Services
• Team Member time

Officeworks has two main types of sponsorships & donations:

Local Store: If you would like to be considered for a local store sponsorship or donation, please submit a letter outlining your request (on formal letterhead, if available) and submit at your nearest Officeworks store to the attention of the Manager. *Please use our handy Store Locator tool if you're not sure of your local store's address.

To be considered, applications need to address:

• Who you are (e.g. tell us about your organisation's goals and activities);
• Why we should sponsor you and/or your organisation;
• Key details of your request (e.g. product donation, etc);
• Timelines (including important deadlines);
• List of sponsors who have committed to date (if any); and
• Relevant contact details (so we know who to contact)

All applications will be reviewed by the Store Manager to assess suitability. Applicants will be notified (in writing) of the decision regarding the request within two weeks.

NB/ If your request is for a sponsorship rather than a straight contribution, please be aware that local store sponsorships will be available for a maximum period of 12 months.

State/National: If your application for sponsorship or donation requires the participation of more than one store, and/or has a national or state level reach, please submit your written application/proposal to:

• Why we should sponsor you and/or your organisation;
• How your request fits within our brand positioning;
• Key details of your request (e.g. product donation, monetary sponsorship, packages, etc);
• Timelines (including important deadlines);
• List of sponsors who have committed to date (if any);
• Creative ideas as to how we can use this sponsorship and those benefits to connect with our target markets; and
• Relevant organisation and representative contact details.

All applications will be reviewed by the PR Manager to assess suitability, feasibility and resources required. Applicants will be notified (in writing) of the decision regarding the request within two weeks.
