Using 100 per cent renewable electricity

Officeworks has achieved its 100% renewable electricity target, which means from 1 January 2025, Officeworks' sites where we have operational control will use a mix of renewable electricity.

Officeworks renewable electricity target is achieved via a mix of large in front of the meter Power Purchasing Agreements (PPAs), onsite generation via solar PV systems and green electricity contracts with energy retailers. For our remaining embedded network sites Officeworks has purchased unbundled LGCs that we will voluntarily surrender, to ensure coverage for sites not on electricity contracts.

In FY2024, we reduced our market-based emissions by 7.7 per cent. This means we have our reached our 25% reduction target (on a FY2018 baseline by FY2025) two years in advance.
