Shake before each use, return cap and store horizontally after use to stop ink drying out.
When in use, be sure not to push down to hard or too often as more paint will come through the nib. If too much paint comes out, simply wipe away excess.
If your marker has other paint colours on it from blending inks, you can remove the nib and rinse. Be sure to do this while the paint is still wet.
