The Aqara Door and Window Sensor T1 detects the open and closed state of doors or windows based on the distance between the sensor unit and the magnet. It consumes minimal energy and requires no tools for installation as you can simply stick it in your desired location for various use cases.

You can install this tiny sensor not only on doors and windows but also in drawers, mailboxes, and even AC units for added convenience and peace of mind.
After binding it to an Aqara hub, the sensor can be exposed to third-party platforms, such as Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa.
You can set up various scenes and automations based on the status of the sensor.
For added piece of mind, you can turn on alarm mode when you leave the house or when you are asleep so if a door or window is opened, the Hub will sound an alarm and send a notification to your phone.
It's battery powered and one battery can last over 2 years under normal usage.
This sensor requires an Aqara Hub (sold separately) to utilise the complete range of its functions.
