This Liquitex Satin Gel Medium increases texture and extends volume with a satin finish or you can use it as a strong collaging adhesive. It gives heavier body paint an oil-like colour brilliance and enhances appearance of brush strokes.

This medium gives paint a satin finish and maintains paint adhesion, durability & archival quality.
Additionally, it extends colour without affecting acrylic stability.
It gives heavier body paint an oil-like colour brilliance, while also increasing viscosity of soft body paints, giving a thicker consistency.
The medium slows drying time and enhances appearance of brush strokes.
Mix as much as you like into acrylic colour to create the viscosity and transparency you want; the more you add, the more transparent the colour will become.
It can be thinned by diluting with up to 25% water; distilled water will give best results.
Mix it into Heavy Body Acrylic to extend volume and maintain viscosity, or mix it into Soft Body or Acrylic Ink to extend volume and thicken.
This medium is semi-opaque when wet and transparent when dry.
When used very thickly it may dry semi-opaque.
Apply with a brush as a collaging glue and fixative.
It can be used on all acrylic-friendly surfaces with acrylic paints and mediums.
It is fully compatible with all Liquitex products.

Do not shake or vigorously over-brush as this can result in a foggy, hazy look when dry. Do not use with any non-acrylic media.
