Thank you for helping us and ALNF to create libraries for kids in need

Officeworks has partnered with the Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation (ALNF) to provide reading libraries for our indigenous, refugee and marginalised kids, through their innovative Share-A-Book initiative.

Proudly supported by Officeworks and Marie Claire magazine, Share-A-Book is a simple but effective program which gathers pre-loved and donated kids books and distributes them to children and communities badly in need of literacy development resources.

Throughout the months of February and March 2010, anyone could participate by donating new or pre-loved children's books to the allocated bookshelf at their local Officeworks store. Alternatively, customers could select a book from the Share-A-Book bookshelf in store, in exchange for a gold coin donation. The 2010 Share-A-Book campaign has now closed, and we are in the midst of tallying the donations submitted by our caring customers and team members.

A big thank you to everybody who participated; the children receiving these donations will be very grateful.
