Sarah Hunter

Sarah was appointed Managing Director, Officeworks in January 2019.

Prior to this, Sarah worked across many areas of the Coles Group in positions including Financial Controller, State General Manager Victoria, General Manager Workplace Strategy and most recently Demerger Program Director, overseeing Coles’ implementation of the demerger from Wesfarmers and listing of Coles Group.

Before joining Coles, Sarah worked in the United Kingdom for more than 10 years, holding a number of senior commercial positions in banking and airports including Strategy and Finance Director for Gatwick Airport from 2004 to 2006.

Since joining Officeworks, Sarah has not only led the growth of business, but also led a material improvement in safety, championed data and digital to improve the customer experience, supported the launch of new team values and brand refresh, and led the modernisation of the retailer’s systems, processes and supply chain to deliver improved efficiency and increased capacity. She is passionate about people, culture, customer experience and innovation.

In addition to her leadership positions at Officeworks and as part of the Wesfarmers Leadership team, Sarah is a Council member of the Australian Retailers Association, is a member of Chief Executive Women, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Bond University and a Masters of Commerce from the University of NSW.

Jim Berndelis

Jim joined Officeworks in October 2012 as National Merchandise Manager – Office Supplies & Furniture. In July 2020 he moved into a General Manager – Merchandise role, reporting into the Managing Director. In October 2024, he was promoted to Chief Commercial Officer.

Jim is an experienced retail merchandise manager and has led several significant projects during his time at Officeworks including the Education Strategy, Store renewal, Expansion of Furniture, Art and Technology and transformation of the Buying department.

Prior to Officeworks, Jim worked at OfficeMax for four years, first as Business Manager – Technology, Furniture, Medical and Managed Print Services and then General Manager – Strategy and Performance. Before this he was a Category Manager at The Good Guys.

Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Diploma of Education from the University of Melbourne. In October 2024, he was promoted to Chief Commercial Officer.

Nikala Busse

Nikala was appointed Chief Information Officer at Officeworks in November 2022.

Nikala has a wealth of experience across retail, financial services and infrastructure, most recently as the General Manager of Customer Platforms at Transurban.

Prior to that, Nikala held several senior positions at Coles where she led technology teams to deliver a suite of transformation and innovation projects, from strategy to execution, to address future business needs with a focus on improving customer and team member experience, increasing sales and reducing the cost of doing business.

Nikala is passionate about connecting technology strategy and delivery with evolving customer needs to enable meaningful innovation and growth.

Nikala holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from University of Melbourne.

Brad
Ellis

Brad was appointed General Manager People at Officeworks in September 2024.

Prior to this, Brad worked as Head of People Strategy & Services at Officeworks for nearly three years, where he a number of key projects across Employee Relations, Systems and Analytics, Reward, Payroll and Talent Acquisition resulting in improved retention, engagement and team member experience.

Before joining Officeworks, Brad worked across NAB, ANZ and Coles, where he held a number of senior positions including Acting Director People & Culture, General Manager HR Operations and General Manager Health, Safety & Wellbeing.

Brad is passionate about creating environments where people can thrive and maximise their potential.

Brad holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) and a Graduate Certificate of Corporate Management.

Brendan Hargreaves

Brendan joined Officeworks as the Chief Financial Officer in January 2022.

Brendan brings with him a wealth of experience, most recently from The Warehouse Group in New Zealand where he was the Finance Director for more than two years.

Prior to that Brendan has held several senior positions in general management, commercial and finance working for Cleanaway, Coles, Village Roadshow and Qantas.

As CFO, Brendan has responsibility for Finance, Strategy Development, Strategy Delivery, Legal, Risk & Compliance and Sustainability, Product Safety and Corporate Affairs.

Brendan was pleased to bring his passion and years of experience, working in sustainably focussed organisations to his role at Officeworks, where he and the team are focussed on meeting Officeworks’ ESG commitments, by delivering the commercial and broader benefits of the People & Planet Positive 2025 Plan.

Brett Kelly

Brett joined Officeworks as National Supply Chain Manager in July 2011. This role became General Manager – Supply Chain, and in April 2019, this role became a direct report of the Managing Director.

Brett has over 20 years’ experience spanning supply chain and logistics management in the retail, wholesale, consumer goods and third-party logistics industries. Brett’s experience covers major distribution centre implementations, network solutions design, and supply chain continuous improvement programs, including full operational turnarounds.

Brett was instrumental in delivering Officeworks’ Supply Chain Transformation program, ensuring the retailer is set up for future growth by increasing the capability of its supply chain to better meet customer demand.

In 2024, Brett was appointed General Manager Store Operations & Customer Service Centre.

Brett is a graduate of the Wesfarmers Executive Development Program and holds a Masters in Supply Chain Management from the University of Melbourne.

Jessica Richmond

Jessica joined Officeworks in May 2019 as General Manager – Marketing, Data & Insights. In 2023, Jessica was promoted to General Manager Customer & Online.

Jessica has over 20 years’ experience in marketing roles within the retail industry. Prior to joining Officeworks, Jessica was Head of Brand and Communications at 7 Eleven.

Jessica has also previously held senior marketing positions at Coles with responsibilities covering Category Marketing, Communications and Digital Marketing and Boost Juice where she was the Marketing Director.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from RMIT University.

Tom Weinmann

Tom joined Officeworks in 2012 as National Operations Manager. In 2019, he was promoted to Head of Supply Chain Transformation. In 2023, Tom was promoted to General Manager Supply Chain.

He has led a number of key strategic network transformation projects at Officeworks including the establishment of an automated Customer Fulfilment Centre in Victoria and is playing a critical role in driving our supply chain strategy.

Prior to this, Tom worked Bushnell Eyewear, Linfox and Hanes Brands in logistics and supply chain management roles.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Information Management) from Deakin University, a MBA (Finance & Strategy) from Monash University and a Certificate of Logistics Management from Australian Institute of Management (AIM).
