What’s the issue?

At Officeworks, the safety, health and wellbeing of our team and customers is our number one priority. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to make sure that everyone arrives home after working, shopping or visiting our offices free from any kind of harm or injury.

But we know that health and safety isn’t just about physical wellbeing, it’s also supporting our team to achieve great mental health and wellbeing outcomes. In doing so, people can bring their best selves to work everyday, and enjoy the moments more when not at work.

What are we doing?

As far as physical safety is concerned, we are working towards a target of zero injuries at Officeworks stores, offices and distribution centres. We’re doing this at the moment by reviewing and upgrading our safety management procedures, and by developing a new hazard reduction program.

When it comes to our team’s health and wellbeing, we’re providing resources that can help them thrive in every area of their life, not just work. One way we’re doing this is through our exciting new Your Best Life program, which encourages our team to take the time to look after all aspects of their mental and physical health.

The story so far

It’s been a priority for a while now to create a working and shopping environment at Officeworks that’s free of any kind of harm. And we’re making great progress. Over the past five years, we’ve reduced team member injuries at Officeworks by 59%, with FY20 being our safest year on record.
